Sam Keitaanpaa is an NT born, bred and educated pharmacist who is currently undertaking his PhD through Menzies School of Health Research. Sam has a passion for working with marginalised groups who experience a lower level of care around their use of medicines and has worked in improving systems involving Opioid Pharmacotherapy, Naloxone, PrEP, homeless Territorians, medicinal cannabis access and cultural competence. Sam currently delivers education to health professionals around the use of Performance and Image Enhancing Drugs. In 2020, Sam was named Early Career Pharmacist of the Year. He is currently employed by NT Health as a Senior Project Officer in the implementation of Real Time Prescription Monitoring in the NT.
