Dr Paul Griffin was appointed as the Director of Infectious Diseases at Mater Health Services in 2013. He is also Principle Investigator at Q-Pharm, visiting scientist at Mater Medical Research Institute and Queensland Institute of Medical Research, and Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. Dr Griffin's primary research interests are clinical trials in the field of infectious diseases including malaria human challenge and transmission blocking studies, the molecular detection of gametocytes, and the detection of antibiotic resistance, particularly VRE by mass spectrometry in the clinical microbiology laboratory.
