Nuno Duarte is Telstra’s Cyber Enablement Principal, accountable for the ongoing assessment and reporting of the organisation’s cyber risk. He brings over 20 years of experience working in security, technology and risk management, having established security programs and managed multimillion-dollar annual budgets across Telecommunications, Financial Services and Mining sectors. Nuno was previously the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Vodafone Hutchison Australia, where he developed and implemented the cyber merger due diligence strategy between Vodafone Australia and TPG. He holds several cyber industry qualifications as well as a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and postgraduate diploma in business administration. Nuno has previously held various leadership positions including the CISO at Alexander Forbes South Africa, where he was responsible for building the Security Operation Centre across several African and European markets.
