Many Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Exhibition (APP2021) sponsors and exhibitors received a welcome boost to attend through the Federal Government’s Business Events Grant Program.  The Federal Government confirmed that contributions of $1,361,041.67 were directly provided to many APP2021 sponsors and exhibitors.

The Federal Government’s Grant Program achieved its aim of helping to boost the business events sector, with thousands of talented staff employed to make APP2021 a memorable experience for all attendees – from events hire, trade stand builders, event organisers, photographers, filmographers, hospitality staff, security and many more roles. The Grant was a welcome bonus after the trade exhibition at APP2020 was unfortunately cancelled in March 2020 due to the escalating risk from the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Funding was provided directly to sponsors and exhibitors as part of the $50M Grants Program to support the post-COVID economic recovery of the business events sector. Sponsors and exhibitors had to spend a minimum of $20,000 to receive as much as 50% paid directly to them through the Grant.

Thousands of attendees from the pharmacy industry were able to reconnect safely on the Gold Coast last week at APP2021 to learn, network and meet suppliers at the sold-out trade exhibition.
Kos Sclavos AM, APP Convenor and former Guild National President, thanked the Morrison Government on behalf of the pharmacy industry for their contribution and support.

“Thank you to the Federal Government for implementing the Business Events Grant Initiative to encourage growth. APP2021 saw thousands of attendees, exhibitors and sponsors being able to connect, network and generate future business opportunities.”

“The Federal Government’s Business Events Grant supported many in the pharmacy industry after what was a tough 2020 during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.”

“We look forward to seeing everyone again at APP2022, which is being held on 24 – 27 March 2022 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.”

“Though APP2022 registrations open in September 2021, we encourage everyone to sign-up for exclusive updates at to be the first to receive information and special offers.”
