CONFERENCE VENUE – Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre

APP2010 will be held at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre (GCCEC), the largest regional convention centre in Australia. Located in Broadbeach, the GCCEC is close to more than 60 restaurants and bars, a world class shopping centre, five-star accommodation and a number of the Gold Coast's spectacular white sandy beaches. The Centre is also directly linked by a covered walkway to the neighbouring Conrad Jupiters Hotel and Casino.

All sessions from 11-14 March, the Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner will be held onsite at the Centre.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Car parking

Car parking is available for delegates at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre for a cost of $5.00 per day. The entrance into the carpark is off the Gold Coast Highway.

Childminding Facilities

There are no childminding facilities provided at the APP Conference. Please contact your hotel directly if you are in need of this service.

Climate

The Gold Coast's climate is sub-tropical with 287 days of sunshine annually. The temperature in March ranges from 19°C to 27°C.

Luggage

Hotel checkout times are 10.00am or 11.00am. Delegates requiring storage of luggage after checkout should contact their respective hotel concierges.

Public Transport

Surfside buses service the Gold Coast 24 hours a day at four to five minute intervals during peak periods. Surfside also transports visitors to all Gold Coast theme parks. For further information phone 07 5536 7666.

Shopping

Pacific Fair Shopping Centre is located within a five to ten minute walk of the conference venue and nearby hotels. Pacific Fair boasts a unique shopping environment combining open air resort style shopping with a multiple level air-conditioned mall. With over 300 stores and services, Pacific Fair is one of the largest shopping centres in Australia.
